Jayakwadi dam is one of the largest irrigation projects in Maharashtra state of India..
Nathsagar is the reservoir formed by this dam, fed by the rivers Godavari and Pravara. Close to the dam, there's a garden named Dnyaneshwar Udyan and Jayakwadi bird sanctuary. The dam attracts variety of resident and migratory birds.
On the way back home from Shegaon, we had visited Jayakwadi dam. It's one of the largest earthen dams in Asia. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the garden because it was being renovated.
